How Topps went Global by Launching its Website for India, Japan & Brazil’s Mature Market
Renowned for its memorabilia and sports cards in the US, The Topps Company, Inc. was founded in 1938. Generations of Americans have grown up collecting Topps trading cards and products. There’s a wide range of sports memorabilia available at Topps.com, including UEFA Champions League, English Premier League, Major League Baseball, Major Soccer Leagues, WWE, Star Wars, Garbage Pail Kids, and more! Topps.com also offers additional memorabilia, including Jerseys, Hats, signed balls, signed bats, etc.
With multiple category-based products, Topps found it challenging to deliver an adequate category-based menu for their users. Uncategorized products made it difficult for users to search and find many products, affecting their shopping experience and resulting in lost revenue for the brand. Additionally, the site design was not on par with experiences online consumers have come to expect. Topps customers were not happy with all these problems so they lost value over time – which is terrible for business!
Rave Digital’s ongoing communication with the Topps management team, coupled with a combined, detail-oriented approach, we were able to exceed initial project objectives, in a timely manner and deliver a superior commerce solution for Topps India. Additionally, the Digital Marketing team implemented strategies advancing the overall success of this project, specifically with increases in Add-to-Cart clicks, Conversion rates, Customer Lifetime Value, and Redemption Rates.
With a successful run of its USA store, Topps decided to go global and launch its store services for potential customers, across the globe.
Topps India made it possible for customers in the country to purchase cards and singles, but they also needed an easy way of processing payments. We created a gateway that was integrated with CCavenue as well as Paytm so the store could swiftly accept INR on our site without having any currency conversion or transaction fees! The Shyplite integration gave Topps fulfillment team everything they needed when shipping orders domestically while still respecting individual country rates based on what was set up during importation time
In a nutshell, at Topps India, we implemented the following:
